Trim, market and year: identify the car before comparing

Establish which version a specification or price describes, especially across countries.

Establish which version a specification or price describes, especially across countries.

Fix the version before judging it

Record make, model, year, trim, engine and market. A shared model name across countries does not guarantee identical equipment. Start in 2uto by choosing your country and opening the available trims. Missing documented data does not mean the vehicle is not sold there.

Keep the specification source

For every decision-relevant claim, retain a link or file for the local version and the date checked. Distinguish standard, optional and unverified equipment. Do not fill safety or dimension gaps using a foreign version merely because the photographs look alike.

Give prices context

Record currency, tax, shipping and offer date. Tools such as the AFDC calculator explain that prices and specifications can change and should be confirmed with a seller or manufacturer. Use local offers; currency conversion is not a price quote for a different market.

Keep missing information explicit

Add unknowns to a question list for the dealer or owner. Treat the comparison as incomplete until answers arrive. An unverified field is preferable to an unsupported definitive number. Once confirmed, update the cost estimate for the version you will actually buy.
