Inspect the tyres in a safe place
With vibration, visible damage or major pressure loss, do not continue on the tyre. Use assistance or an alternative as permitted by the manual.
What does this light mean?
The symbol resembles an open tyre with an exclamation mark. The system warns about pressure but does not replace regular measurement or detect every type of damage. Instructions differ between direct and indirect monitoring.
Steady light
Measure tyre pressures when cold and set them according to the vehicle placard and load. Do not use the maximum sidewall pressure as the recommended operating pressure.
Flashing, then steady
This may indicate a monitoring-system fault. Check pressure manually and consult the manual to arrange inspection; do not assume every tyre is sound because the system is faulty.
Practical steps before inspection
- Note any tyre that loses pressure again; repeated inflation requires investigating the cause.
- Do not release air from a hot tyre simply because its reading exceeds the recommended cold pressure.
- Perform calibration or save pressures only after correct adjustment and using your vehicle's procedure. Do not save a low pressure to hide the warning.

No. Temperature changes can alter pressure and warning appearance; check when cold instead of relying on the symbol disappearing.
