Start with what accompanies the sound
Metallic noise is a description, not a fault name. Note whether it occurs when pressing the brake or continues while moving, and whether it began after service or a road impact. Do not turn that description directly into an order for pads or discs. The first task is to locate the contact and inspect component condition.
If braking or steering changes
If response worsens, pedal feel changes clearly or the vehicle pulls, stop safely and arrange inspection before continuing. Do not make an intentional hard stop to reproduce the noise, and do not treat a temporary disappearance as proof of a repair. Tell the assistance provider about these signs so an appropriate transport arrangement can be made.
