What does this light mean?

Oil-pressure warning
Protecting the engine takes priority. Switch it off as soon as you reach a safe place; the light disappearing during acceleration does not establish that the problem is resolved.
Oil-level warning
Follow the manual's checking procedure with the vehicle stationary. Use the correct specification and quantity without exceeding the upper limit. A level warning is not the same as a pressure warning.
Practical steps before inspection
- Record whether the light appeared at idle or while driving, and whether there was a pressure message or unusual noise.
